IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charlotte Jean
Durham
July 22, 1950 – December 16, 2025
Charlotte Jean Durham, 75, of Drummonds, Tennessee, passed peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones, on December 16, 2025.
Charlotte was born July 22, 1950, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Weyman and Joy McIntosh. She spent her summers growing up on her grandparents' farm or at her Aunt Lucile's home with her cousins, experiences that shaped her lifelong sense of family, connection, and a deep appreciation for shared experiences.
She was committed to service, dedicating much of her professional life to nonprofit organizations that supported public education. Her most recent and personally meaningful project was managing a major grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for SchoolSeed, whose mission is improving the lives of children and their families through programs that strengthen both learning and overall well-being. Above all, Charlotte was guided by an open heart and an open mind in her devotion to family and friends. Her steady presence, generosity, and genuine care were evident in the way she supported her children and grandchildren, whether in everyday moments such as sporting events, school
functions, and shared activities, or in times of emotional and practical need.
Charlotte is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ronald Clifford Durham; her brother, Larry Newsom (Dana) of Elgin, Oklahoma; and her sister, Joan Waters of Pittsburg, Kansas. She leaves behind her children, Kristie Durham (Christoph Böhme) of Sandy, Utah; Ronnie Breckenridge (Debbie) of Brighton, Tennessee; and Trudy Griffin (Jason) of Drummonds, Tennessee; as well as her seven grandchildren, Shawn Douglas Breckenridge, Rebeca Leigh Breckenridge, Valarie Nicole Breckenridge, Dylan James Griffin, Anneliese Faye Böhme, Olivia Florence Griffin, and Mia Kate Griffin. She was also blessed with one great-granddaughter, Brynleigh Rose Stokes.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Joy Mclntosh; her father, George Weyman McIntosh; her stepmother, Marilyn Mae Mclntosh; and her brothers, Stanley Allen McIntosh and Kevin Lee McIntosh.
