Mr. Jones was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the special service unit. He was  owner and operator of  51 Furniture Store of Atoka for over 25 years.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Dan A. and Jewel Jones; his son, Joseph F. Houser, and his sister, Betty Hay.

He leaves his wife, Betty  L. Jones; three daughters, Shelia K. Haynes of Memphis, Rene S. Haynes of AR, and Melody Jones of Millington; one son, Kerry A Jones of Brighton, TN; 12 grandchildren, Kimberly Jones, Kellie Ebberyp, Kasey Charles Jones, Courtney, Cody and Charles Smith, Austin and Amanda Dotson, Ashley Houser, Erica, Graham and Jeffrey Haynes; also 19 great -grandchildren.
