Charles Frank Holland passed away November 1, 2017. He was born October 9, 1927 as the second child of Ocie Miller Holland, Sr. and Pauline Estes Holland in Webster County, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Lou Holland; parents; and six siblings. He leaves a son, David Randall Holland; three grandsons: David, Michael, and Kyle; four great-grandchildren; and five siblings: Sarah Wright, Sandra Rutledge, Sue Kelley, Kenneth Holland, and Rick Holland. He served our country in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War. After serving in the Navy, he owned several businesses including: Jett Beauty and Barber Colleges, AAA Real Estate Company, and North Shelby Advertiser News Paper. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, a founding member of The Exchange Club of Frayser, Exchange Club of Millington, Exchange Club of Bartlett, The Frayser Business Forum, and other civic organizations. He was involved in the political leadership that affected the citizens of Memphis and Shelby County, Tennessee. He was a long time member of Georgian Hills Baptist Church and in his later years attended Ellendale Baptist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 10-11 am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00. All services and interment will be held at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and Cemetery 6755 Hwy 51 North.
