CHARLES J. ACKERMAN, 94, died Thursday, October 4, 2012 in Covington, TN. He was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. He was a WWII US Army veteran. After returning home, he worked for General Motors Automobile Company for many years. Upon retiring, he relocated to Tennessee. He is survived by his sons: Wilbert Drost Jr. and Gene Drost; daughters: Linda Drost, Louanne Gates, Rita George, Doris Perry, and Judy Lewis; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Ackerman. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington, TN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, in the Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dave Lawrence officiating.
