Carolyn Wimberly Ritter, 72, passed away peacefully at the home of her sister Renee Watts after a brave battle with cancer. She was born March 5, 1944, and passed away August 27, 2016. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 31st from 12 until 2:00 pm at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow. She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Ann Wimberly, and a sister Betty Wimberly. She leaves to cherish her memory he husband of 52 years W.C. "Dody" Ritter, her daughter Lisa Washington, and two beautiful grandchildren Sara and Luke Washington. She also leaves three sisters Patricia Parrish, Donna Bumgardner (Dennis), Renee Watts (Alec), one brother Thomas Wimberly, and many nieces and nephews. Carolyn was a 1962 graduate of Frayser High School and a longtime member of Frayser Baptist Church. The family request memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
