Carol Lynn Herndon Taylor, 45, of Arlington, Tennessee passed away suddenly on April 12, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Taylor, Sr. and her precious daughter Kayla Marie Taylor who what her pride and joy; her son, Kenneth "Bubba" Taylor Jr. (Sheila); and her grandchildren, Emily, Austin, and Hailey. Also surviving is her mother, Linda Carlock Herndon; father, Bobby Herndon Sr. (Becky); her sisters, Anna Cullum (Rusty); Sharon Smith (Mike); and her brother, Bobby Herndon Jr. (Lorrie); nephews, Christopher Smith; Coliin Smith; Ben Cullum; Hayden Herndon; and one great niece, Ameilia Smith; and her in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Taylor. She is also survived by her law enforcement brothers and sisters of the Shelby County Sheriff's Office and the Shelby County Court community which she proudly served. Carol was a Sheriff's Deputy for almost 21 years having served in the Patrol Division and as a Bailiff in Criminal Courts Division. Carol's generous and loving heart was covered by her "tough girl attitude". Once you met her, you never forgot her. Her birth announcement predicted her larger than life personality, stating, "YOU WERE CUT OUT TO BE REMEMBERED". She will truly be missed by all of her family and friends. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church Millington 5010 West Union Millington, TN on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will also be at First Baptist Millington on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Cemetery 6755 Highway 51 North, Millington, TN. The Kayla Marie Taylor Trust Fund has been established at First Tennessee Bank. Donations may be deposited at any branch.
