Calvin Jordan Caudill Jr., of Munford, died Friday, August 16, 2013 at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt. CPO Caudill retired from the United States Navy after 21 years and then worked for Methodist Central Hospital as a general mechanic, for 15 years. He was an avid scratch golfer and loved playing at Big Creek Golf Course. At one time he was also Club Champion for Glenn Eagle Golf Course on the Naval Base in Millington. A member of Faith Baptist Church for over 30 years, Mr. Caudill was a devout Christian, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joney Caudill of Munford; two children, Michael Jordan Caudill (Danna) of Cave Springs, AR; and Sheri Lyn Hobson of Munford; grandchildren, Elizabeth Chastain (Evan) of Sugar Land, TX; Lauren Caudill, of Escondido, CA; Drew Hobson, Tyler Hobson both of Memphis; Jacob Wright of Conway, AR; Emily Hobson of Munford; Luke Hobson of Munford; Carson Caudill, and Micah Caudill of Cave Springs, AR; two great grandchildren, Gabriella Chastain, and Nicholas Chastain; and siblings, Dorothy (James); Diane (Booker); Linda (Steven); and Terry (Kim) and brother-in-law, Robert Plummer of Memphis. The family will receive friends at Faith Baptist Church 900 Simmons Road Drummonds, Tennessee on Saturday, August 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The funeral begins at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church. Private interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be sent to Faith Baptist Church Building Fund.
