BILLIE WAYNE TRAVIS, 79, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in Memphis, TN. Billie retired honorably after 29 years in the United States Navy. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and DeRhonda Travis; brother and sister-in-law, Arthur Douglas and Phyllis Travis; grandson and wife, Andrew Travis and Jordan and Stacey Travis; great-grandson, Conner Travis, and nephew, Ryan Travis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Travis, daughter, Katherine Travis, parents, Arthur Clifton and Hazel M. Travis, and sister, Norma Travis. Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Sunday, November 13 at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington, TN. A Celebration of Live Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 14 at the funeral home. Interment with full military honors will be in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
