Bettye M. Gupton, 83, died Monday, October 21, 2013, at Methodist North Hospital. Mrs. Gupton was a homemaker who loved cooking. She spent her life caring for her family. She married Earl Gupton, on December 31, 1949. She dearly loved being "Memaw" to her grand children. and great-grandchildren Mrs. Bettye was a member of Brighton Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Earl; three children, Becky Gupton of Covington; Janet Boggs (Roy) of Chapel Hill, TN; and Glenn Gupton (JoAnn) of Brighton; three grandchildren, Heather Pinckard (Scott) of Brentwood; Ashley Harrington of Brighton, and Samantha Gupton of Covington; three great grandchildren, Taylor, Matthew, and Elena; and her sisters, Jean Underhill and Ann Pacheco both of Marshville, NC; and Martha Jordan (Bubs) of Selmer, TN. Mrs. Gupton was preceded in death by her sister, Wilma and brother, Sonny. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home at 1:00 Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
