Betty J. Vaughn, 78, died January 2, 2013 at Covington Manor Nursing Home. Betty retired from Cherokee Bowling Lanes in Memphis where she served as secretary. She is survived by her children, June E. (Bobby) Wood of Millington; Karen J. (Roger) Thompson of Millington; Laz J. Lopez of Biloxi, MS; and Jack F. Lopez of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Christian, Cindy, Jeremy, April, Leah, and Chris; and five great grandchildren. Mrs. Vaughn was preceded in death by her children, Dawn M. Moore and Joseph C. Lopez. Memorial services will be held at First United Methodist Church 8029 Wilkinsville Rd Millington, TN; at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2013. The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer''s Association.
