Betty Sue Strong, 86, of Memphis, TN passed away Monday, September 2, 2019. Ms. Strong was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Franklin K. Strong; parents, Abe and Mattie Cunningham; and brother, James Harold Cunningham. She is survived by her son, Frank Strong (Judy); daughter, Cindy Chafin; grandchildren: Shannon Strong (Brook), Alex Strong (Betsey), Natalie Dale (Matt), Kyle Chafin (Troy), Drew Chafin (Ashley), Whit Chafin, and Hank Chafin; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Linda Cunningham Warren. Ms. Strong was a homemaker most of her life and always made sure her family was taken care of. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and her monthly trips to the casino in Tunica. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1-2 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 6, 2019. All services and interment will be held at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
