Betty Grant Sims Simington, 78, died Monday, December 2, 2013 at her Millington residence. According to her family, she was the best mother and homemaker. She was also classy and humorous. Her survivors include her sons, B. Scott Sims (Kathy) of Jackson, TN; and Jackie Sims (Elizabeth) of Memphis; a daughter, Vickie Adams of Millington; grandchildren, Boyd "BJ" Adams, Joshua Sims, Nichole Turpen, Kimberly Blanchard, Jason Sims, Jordan Sims, and Tony Devon Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Franklin and Bertha Leona Grant, and her husbands, Boyd Ray "Jack" Sims and MacDowell "Mack" Simington. The family will receive friends at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, from from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Red Cross.
