Betty Ann Smith McGee, age 77 of Memphis, TN passed away peacefully at Applingwood Healthcare Center on Thursday, January 31, 2019.  Betty was born on September 18 ^th , 1941 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Memphis, TN.  Betty grew up in North Memphis, attending Humes and Technical high schools.  She was retired from the City of Memphis and was a member of New Hope Christian Church.  Betty was a fantastic bowler, enjoyed playing poker, bingo, watching wrestling and spending time with family and friends. Most importantly, Betty enjoyed watching her Dallas Cowboys! Mrs. McGee was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Alford Smith; one sister, Brenda Joyce Wade and one grandson, Michael Chunn.  She is survived and will be forever remembered by her husband, Leonard "Bo" McGee; one son, William Alan McGee; three daughters, Karen Miller (Larry), Michelle Metz (Johnny) and Denise Chunn (Troy); 9 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 5 ^th from 12 – 2pm with a funeral service immediately following.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Applingwood Healthcare Center in Cordova, TN or the American Lung Association.
