IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Betty June
Mcalpin
October 16, 1935 – November 7, 2023
On Tuesday November, 7, 2023, Betty June McAlpin, 88, of Bartlett, TN moved to her Heavenly Home. Betty June was a godly woman who loved the lord and her family and set an example for her husband, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, that will lead them all their lives.
Betty June was born in Eastview, TN. on Oct 16, 1935 to the late Creed H. Wardlow and Loriane Bolding. She was married 58 years to the late Vester L. McAlpin. Betty loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, with all her heart, and she loved the word of God. Though she was a humble, meek and gentle woman, Betty June was nonetheless a God-fearing prayer warrior, and only heaven knows what a wonderful and eternal impact all her many years of faithful praying have had on her family, friends, and the world at large.
She and her husband were members of Bellevue Baptist Church for 35 years, where they were faithful in their attendance and serving in many different ministries. One they enjoyed was working together in food services. Betty was also involved with Evangelism Explosion going out twice a week door knocking, witnessing to others, giving them the gospel about the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and inviting them to church. She was also faithful to her Sunday-school class, only having three different teachers for the past 35 years.
Betty June is survived by her son, Michael (Mike) R. McAlpin, 4 daughters; Teresa Dunson (Robert), Cathy McGee, Donna Gordon (Jim), Karen McCraw (Randy); 8 grandchildren, Michael Stark, Keith Stark, Brandy Singleton, Timmy Smith, London Williams, Brooke Day, June Day, Kyle Gordon; 7 great grandchildren, Jakob Stark, Johnathan Stark, Joshua Stark, Jenna Stark, Emily Jenkins, George Stevenson, Micaleh Stark; and 1 great great grandchild Evenyln Rosalee Gatlin.
The family would like to extend special appreciation to her granddaughter, Brandy Singleton, not only was she her care giver, but also her special friend.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 13, 2023 from 9:00-10:00a.m. at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 10:00a.m. Burial will follow at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
