Betty Trentham James, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on May 24, 2014. Betty is survived by two daughters, Marilyn James Wafler and Fred Wafler of Arab, AI, Sandra James Stanley and Virgil Stanley of Millington, TN. Four grandchildren, Mickie and Alan Gibbs, Ross and Sidni Wafler, Matthew and Amy Wafler, Rebecca Stanley and six great-grandchildren, Wesley Gibbs, Ashley Gibbs, Aaron Wafler, Myles Wafler, Noah Wafler and Zoey Wafler, one sister, two sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas James, her parents, William Shade and Lucinda Trentham, sisters, Mary Sulla Trentham, Margie Trentham Shults, brothers, Luther Trentham, Roy Trentham, Herman Trentham and Hugh Baxter, all from Newport, TN. Betty was from Newport, TN and has lived in Memphis, TN since 1959. Betty was a member of Range Hills Baptist Church. Visitation will be at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home, in Millington, TN, Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11: 30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, request donations be made to Methodist Hospice Residence, 6416 Quince Rd., Memphis, TN 38119, in memory of Betty James.
