Betty Jo Adams, 64, died Wednesday, September 15, 2010 in Memphis, TN. Betty was a life long member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was an employee of the Shelby County Sheriff Office for over 34 years. She is survived by her sons: Robert E., Johnny G. (Debby), Timothy R. (Jeanette) Pruett and Curtis "Sam" (Denise) McGee, brother: Curtis F. (GeeGee) McGee III, sisters: Janie (Sonny) Scruggs and Diane (Jerry) Taylor, 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents: Curtis and Mary McGee and Sister: Julia "Penny" McGee. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday September 17, at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington, TN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday September 18, in the Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
