Bennie Joe Wooten, age 87, of Bartlett, TN passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011. Mr. Wooten was born May 23, 1924 in Brinkley, AR to the late William and Molly Wooten. He was retired from Shelby County Code Enforcement, and was a member of Raleigh Assembly of God Church for more than 30 years. His life was truly dedicated to his wife, children and grandchildren. He leaves his wife of 61 years, Neoma Nowlin Wooten of Bartlett; two daughters, Norma Wooten Miller and her husband Jerry of Gulf Shores, AL and Trena Wooten Kilp and her husband Bill of Bartlett; one son, Tim Wooten and his wife Tish of Springfield, MO; his twin brother Billy Wooten and his wife Evelyn of Alton, IL; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Ron Wooten. Visitation will be Monday, June 6, from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m., both at Raleigh Assembly of God Church on Austin Peay Highway. Burial to follow at 4 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Pkwy
