IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara Jean
Blaylock
June 15, 1935 – April 17, 2023
Barbara Jean Clark Kortz Blaylock, 87, of Millington, TN, passed away on Monday, April 17. She was born in Sedalia, MO, on June 15, 1935, to the late Lawrence and Letty Koegler Clark. Her family moved to Paducah, where she grew up, attending St. Mary grade school and high school. She worked at several jobs over the years, including Woolworth's, Ben Franklin, H and R Block, and eventually retired from a bookkeeping job at Walgreens. Mrs. Blaylock then volunteered at Frayser Raleigh Senior Center where she worked for 20 years. She was well loved there by fellow seniors for organizing the casino bus trips the center sponsored. Mrs. Blaylock loved trips to the zoo and parks, after river boat cruises ib the Mississippi, and a trip to Disney World with her children and grandchildren; and watching great-grandchildren play.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Robert) Stewart, Kevin Kortz, Susan (Bennie) Brown, Greg Kortz, and Jeff Kortz; her grandchildren Jacqueline, Jonathan, Jeremiah, Nicholas, Stacy, Jennifer, and Mackenzie; great grandchildren James, Annabelle, Ariana, Anthony, Claire, Christian, Catherine, Henderson, and Coleman. She was preceded in death by her sister, Christine Rodgers.
Funeral services and burial will be at 2:00 pm and Wednesday, April 26th, at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and Cemetery in Millington with Fr. John Hourican officiating. Visitation will be from 1 pm - 2 pm prior to the service.
