Anna Mae Stringfellow, of Millington, Tennessee, passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 85.

Born on July 29, 1941, in Oran, Missouri, Anna was one of nine children born to Leon Simon "Gumbo" Urhahn and Verneda Marie (Welter) Urhahn. On July 23, 1966, she married the love of her life, James Lee Stringfellow. Together they shared nearly 53 years of marriage until his passing in 2019. As a Navy wife, Anna embraced a life of service and adventure alongside her husband. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. She was a devoted mother to Todd and Teresa and warmly welcomed her daughter-in-law, Jane, into the family in 2008.

Anna was a faithful member of St. William Catholic Church, where she served as a user, an Office & PRE helper, and participated in the Women's Guild. She was also an avid bowler whose bowling community became an extension of her family.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Jane Stringfellow; her daughter, Teresa Stringfellow; sisters Lynda (Paul) Hess and Laura Smith; brothers Tom (Clare) Urhahn, August (Cathy) Urhahn, and Rick (Karen) Urhahn; sister-in-law Jeraldine Urhahn

She is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, including Tammy Sanders, Denise Landewee, Steven & Ronald Hess, Rob and Roger Smith, Tim Urhahn, Keith & Ben Urhahn, and Paul Joseph "PJ" Urhahn, along with numerous other cherished family members.

In addition, Anna leaves behind 11 great-nieces and nephews, 3 great-great-nieces and nephews, and many loving cousins who will miss her dearly.

Anna touched countless lives through her faith, kindness, and generosity. She will be remembered for her warm smile, caring heart, and unwavering devotion to her family, church, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Stringfellow; her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Kathryn and P.J. Schott; brothers James Urhahn and Paul Michael "Chuck" Urhahn; brother-in-law Chuck Smith; and nephews James Leon Urhahn and J.C. Smith.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at St. William Catholic Church, 4932 Easley Street, Millington, TN, with a Funeral Mass immediately following. Burial will take place at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home & Cemetery.
