Anita Elizabeth Couch Smith went home to her Savior on December 10, 2023, at age 91. She was born to Ezekiel and Ruby Couch in Harrisburg, Arkansas on October 16th, 1932.

Known to all that loved her simply as "Granny", she was a long time member of Frayser Bible Church, and then became a member of First United Methodist Church of Millington, TN. She was a 37 year retiree of South Central Bell/AT&T and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Granny was an avid Memphis Tigers Fan and Grizzlies Fan, and loved watching all football and basketball, NASCAR as long as Dale Earnhardt, Jr. was racing and was an amazing gardener! Preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Virgil, a brother, Norman Couch and her sister, Annabelle Couch she leaves behind a son, Ray W. Smith, a daughter, Susan Corum (Dan), a granddaughter, Angela Booze (Kevin), a grandson, Lee Gresham (Lindsey), and three great-grandchildren whom she adored - Gunnar, Lani and Baker.

The family will receive guests on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 1 pm until 2 pm at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 6755 HWY 51 N Millington, TN 38053. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery, 6755 HWY 51 N Millington, TN 38053.
