Obituary

Allen Richard Hamilton Sr., of Millington, Tennessee, was born on February 9, 1933, and passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026.

Allen was a devoted husband, father, and a man who took great pride in his family and the simple joys of life. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Treva Coleman Hamilton, and his two sons, Ricky and Russell Hamilton.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Daisy Hamilton; his brothers, Jerry W. Hamilton and Robert Hamilton; and his sisters, Ann Addante and Margie Tipton.

Allen was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed pitching for his local baseball teams during his younger years. He was also a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He graduated from Peabody High School in 1955. Shortly after high school, Allen married his sweetheart, Treva Coleman, and together they were blessed with two sons, Ricky and Russell.

Allen dedicated more than 31 years of his life to working at DuPont in Millington before retiring. In his retirement years, he enjoyed the things that brought him the most happiness—spending time outdoors, hunting with his dogs, and tending to his garden. He was an avid gardener and took great pride in growing fresh vegetables from his own garden.

Allen will be remembered for his love of family, his hardworking nature, his love of the outdoors, and the many simple moments that made his life meaningful. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
