Ailene Sanders Melton, 83, passed peacefully Sunday, April 26, 2015 at home. She retired from WT Grant as a bookkeeper and office manager. She then worked as a bookkeeper for a physicians group. Mrs. Melton loved reading, listening to country music, watching old movies, and baking; but mostly she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Melton is survived by her daughters, Mary B. Crouse of Drummonds; Debra B. (Bill) Parham of Millington; and Amy (Ray) Evans of Memphis; nine grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James K. Melton; parents, Jesse Staten and Zula Myers Sanders; her son, Sonny Black; one brother, four sisters; and one granddaughter, Emily Parham Long. The family will receive friends at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
